The Little Tunnel that Changed the World

For this project, we were asked to create a visual narrative based on the theme of transformation. I chose to create The Little Tunnel that Changed the World, an original Thames Tunnel comic book focusing on the history of the famous structure in Rotherhithe.

The story follows a father and daughter traveling on a London Overground train, serving as a creative device to illustrate the tunnel's historical transformation from a bustling pedestrian foot tunnel in 1843 into an integral part of London's modern public transportation system. My goal was to highlight its distinction as the world's very first underwater tunnel.

A limited run of physical copies of the finished book was proudly stocked and sold at Gosh Comics, the renowned comic book store in Soho, London.
